Ability to evaluate students' technology proficiency and students' technology-based products within curricular areas.
I use several types of informal assessments in the classroom. I teach all the standards for each class but also use novels and various technology resources to help with individual enrichment. This can include best practice strategies such as quick writes, bell ringers, turn & talks based on research based articles critiques, or exit slips. I use more formal assessments for virtual labs, required reading, and technology assignments. When students have technology assignments I also like to take time to allow students to present to the class in order to give them an opportunity to speak and present in front of their peers. I try to grade all technology based on 5,4,3,2,1's which equates to 15 components in total. Each presentation must include five fact based slides, four embedded pictures based on standard assigned, three research based articles embedded, two videos that are related to standard assigned, and one works cited page per MLA format.
